Boards are over and I’m actually a survivor 🏆

Okay, so it’s officially been over a month and I can finally say it… THE EXAMS ARE OVER. 🥳 Looking back, those weeks were actually insane. I’m gonna be real, I didn’t take things that seriously—for me, Boards were lowkey just like another unit test. Everyone always said “don’t stress, it’s just boards, not a life test,” and I think our batch took that literally. Like, we really just showed up and did the thing.

I still gave it my all, though. I was studying all day and night, skipping family reunions, ghosting my friends, missing movie nights, basically giving up on all the happy things. Surprisingly, I never really had that “sleepless” issue because the Council actually thought about us for once and gave us amazing study leaves. I basically used them for their true purpose: actual sleep.

Oh my god, I have to give you the PAPER TEA because I’m still actually salty about it. Most papers were a total breeze, but Physics? Eww. What even was that? I spent actual hours mastering numericals, getting every formula down to a science, just for them to ghost us and make the whole thing application-based. Like, excuse me??

They really tried to burn us with that one. It was a literal villain arc. You spend all that time grinding and then they hit you with a “competency” jumpscare? Disrespectful. Honestly, we don’t know her. Physics is officially uninvited from the post-exam vibes. 💅

But then Chem and Bio came through and were actually amazing—it’s like the Council realized they went too far with Physics and tried to buy our forgiveness. Math, Hindi, Geo, History, and Comp were all total 90+ vibes, so I’m just happy that except for Physics, everything was easy and scoring. We’re letting those high scores carry the team and pretending that one paper never happened. 💀✨

After surviving those study leaves, I am now a professional at doing absolutely nothing. I actually cleaned my cupboard for once, made some paintings, and spent whole days just rotting in front of the TV.

Boards are honestly so overhyped—they were way less stressful than prelims. My only real regret is it was my last day in that school, in that waiting room with my friends. I’m seriously gonna miss those expensive memories… the class bunking, the washroom khopchas, and the nonsensical jokes we laughed at until we couldn’t breathe.

On the last day, we hit the mall and it was a whole mood. We ate Sbarro pizza, which was honestly way too top-heavy for stick figures like us. And since it was my friend’s birthday (which fell during Boards—literal crime), she got us all Starbucks! ☕✨ So, naturally, while we were at the mall, we “robbed” her for that birthday treat because having a birthday during exams is just not a birthday birthday, you get it?

And finally I had my Goa Reset 🌊. Goa was the huge break I needed. Studying is a total torture for people like me—I partially like it because I have high goals, but also, why waste our precious brain power everywhere? It’s not right. Those three days in Goa were literal heaven. Tiny vacay, huge impact!

Now tomorrow is the first day of Grade 11 and guess what? I never learned from my mistake. I took Science… PCM. Poor me. 💀 But yeah, I’ve planned to work hard this year too and keep the graph going up, but also relax a bit because c’mon, 10th is over and 12th is a year away…

Wish me luck boiiii! ✌️✨
