Every day I stay back just to get a glimpse of you.
I wonder how you make the ground your stage to bloom.
I’ve spent three hundred days waiting, standing perfectly still,
watching the seasons change against my own will,
because I know that when the sky turns heavy and the clouds begin to roar,
everyone else will run to hide and lock their door.

But you-
you will step out to live the joy and feel the rain
while the rest of the world is busy hiding from the pain.
I hide behind a pillar just to watch you secretly,
I see you dance, making the thunder your music.

And then I see your face, and my heart skipped a beat.
Your smile is as sweet as honey.
I leave the shadow of the pillar and walk a full circle around you.
I admire every part of you — the way your eyes shine in the gray,
and how your wet hair looks like a masterpiece in the rain.

You dance and swirl, looking so graceful and free,
like a tiny star that only I can see.
In this moment, you are the center of my universe.

Everything has changed because of what I saw today.
I am not sure how I will move on from this day,
or how I will ever look at the world the same way.
Because standing here, watching you breathe in the storm,
I’ve realized I have fallen head over heels in love with you.
